Bible Discourse 68 What Jesus meant by “Everlasting punishment”

Discourse 68
What Jesus meant by “Everlasting punishment”
“When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory. And before him shall be gathered all nations, and he shall separate them one from another, as shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
“Then shall the king say unto them on his right hand, ‘Come ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink.  I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.’
“Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee on hungred, and fed thee? Or thirsty and gave thee drink? When we saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when we saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, ‘Verily I say unto you, in as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.’
“Then he shall say also unto them on the left hand, ‘Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:   For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink, I was a stranger and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.’
“Then shall they also answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, ‘Verily I say unto you, in as much as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.’  And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.”
                                                                      Matthew 25:31—46
Jesus said: I, Son of man Jesus, will be glorified in heaven when I am merged in Cosmic Consciousness.
“In the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory….”That is, “after the resurrection of the Son of man(Spiritualization of my physical body into cosmic Spirit), my Christ Consciousness will rest on the throne of omnipresent Cosmic Consciousness in the kingdom of Christ Consciousness.
At death souls arraigned before that Infinite Intelligence, which will ordain through cosmic law. Here scapegoats means who have committed sins. Sheep means souls which have followed the virtue. So the sheep will be kept in, and the scapegoats, evil doers will be consigned to lower regions of the astral world, they have to repeatedly incarnate on the earth in order to fulfill their karma.
The ‘day of judgment’  is not a cosmic event decreed by God to occur at  some specific future time. The Christ Consciousness discerns the accumulated good and bad karma. This will determine the future births. If the karma is good they will be born to a good family. If the karma is bad they will be born to a bad family.
“And if thy hand (Or foot or eye—any instrument of sense temptation) offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and thefire is not quenched.”   Matthew 18:8—9  and Mark 9:43

Bhagavadgita says:
Yadaa sattwe pravruddhetu pralayam yaati dehabhrut
Tadottama vidaam lokaanamalaan  pratipadyate              Gita 14—14
When the sadhak dies during the rise of Sattwa guna, then he is getting birth into the houses of people with great wisdom, pure hearted Rishis, Munis, and Yogis.

Rajasipralayam gatwaa karma sangishu jaayate
Tathaa praleenastamasi moodhayonishu jaayate             Gita 14—15
When Rajas prevails at the time of Death, that person takes birth into the houses of people attached to works.
When Tamas prevails at the time of Death, that person takes birth into the houses of poverty, and in the wombs of animals, birds, and lower echelons.

Jesus said: “For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with His angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.”
Jesus was citing advanced devotee in meditation,  whose soul is uplifted to God-perception. That devotee realizes God’s Infinite Christ/Krishna kootastha chaitanya or Intelligence with its judgment of the cosmic law of cause and effect reflected right within his own Son of man soul consciousness.
Even body-bound persons experience a super conscious perception during the body transcendent “ecstasy” of death. When the life force and consciousness are withdrawn into the spine and brain to exit the body, the super consciousness of the soul—the reflection of Christ Consciousness in the body(the Son of man)—perceives in a flash all the “works”, karma-producing actions, during life time. This is a universal human experience, applicable to “all nations”.  (Matthew 25:31—32)
Liberation can come when you realize the presence of Christ Consciousness within yourself, and with expanded realization you realize the same Christ Consciousness within others.  By loving Me and serving Me in My every form, in hungry, in thirsty, in naked, in prisoner, you are everlastingly in My eternal love and protection. Selfish unsympathetic persons cannot remain in the astral heaven of beauty and freedom.
“Before one reincarnates on earth, karmic compensation may also be partially meted out through suffering mentally the fiery pangs of unrequited material cravings during a temporary stay in one of the lower astral regions, as in the example of the rich man cited in Luke 16:1—31”
God is not merciless Judge who condemns souls to “everlasting fire.”
Man decrees his own punishment when he accedes to the evil influence of Satanic delusion.
All God’s children are given unending opportunities to find salvation.  All evil is only a temporary graft on the immutable perfection of the soul. It is only that sinner’s surrender to helplessness that condemns him to remain under the damning influence of “the devil and his angels.”
By his devoted, severe, intense, soul-revealing meditation, and rightful action, the devotee surely progresses toward Self-realization.
Bhagavadgta says:
Buddhiyukto jahaateeha ubhe sukrita dushkrite
Tasmaat yogaayayujyaswa yagah karmasukausalam        Gita 2—50
The man of balancing mind is getting rid of virtue and vice in this birth itself. So make efforts for this Nishkaama karma yoga. The art of proper action is Yoga.

Karmajam buddhiyuktaahi phalamtyaktwaa maneeshinah
Janmabandhavinirmuktaah PadamGachchantya naamamayam   Gita 2—51

Those who have mastered the act of balancing their minds,   are doing works without expecting results  in spite of being in family. They give up results, get liberated from this cycle of births and deaths, and attaining the state beyond sorrow.
Family is not an obstruction to attain liberation. Yogiraaj Sri Sri Lahiri Mahasaya Maharaj is a family man with four children.
