Discourse 56
God realization: The Heavenly Treasure of Individuals and Nations

And one of the company said unto him, “Master, speak to my brother, he divide the inheritance with me.”
And he said unto him, “Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you.

And he said unto them, “Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.”

And he spake a parable unto them, saying, “The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, “What shall I do, because I have no room to besyw my fruits? And he  said, “This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.  And I will say to my soul, “Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry’”
“But God said unto him, “Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?’ So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

And said unto his disciples, “Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what shall ye put on.  The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment
“Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: How much more are ye better than the fowls? And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? If ye then be not be able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
“Consider the lilies, how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.  If then God so clothe the grass, which is today in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven: how much more will He clothe you, O ye of little faith?
“And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world and seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.  But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.  Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which was not gold, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.  For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

“Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; and ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.  Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
“And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.  And this know, that if the good man of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.”
Then Peter said unto him, “Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all?”
And the Lord said, “Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.  Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.  But if that servant say in his heart, ‘My lord delayeth his coming’; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; the lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.  And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes.  For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

“I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled? But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished! Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, nay; but rather division: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.”
And he said also to the people, “When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, ‘There cometh a shower’; and so it is. And when see the south wind blow, ye say, “There will be heat’: and it cometh to pass. Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time? Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?

When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, as thou art in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison.  I tell thee, thou shall not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite.
                                                                            Luke 12:13—59

And one of the company said unto him, “Master, speak to my brother, he divide the inheritance with me.”
And he said unto him, “Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you.
                                                                                 Luke 12:13—14
Jesus said: God uses the services of prophets to develop spirituality in man. The individual karma will decide or judge regarding the division of inheritance.
And he said unto them, “Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.”    Luke 12:15

Jesus said: Life’s security does not depend upon material possessions.
“Woe unto you that are rich! For ye have received your consolation.”  Luke 6;24

“But God said unto him, “Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?’ So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”         Luke 12:16—21

Jesus said: Jesus warns of the false security imparted by material wealth. The greedy persons will never be happy in spite acquiring wealth. Materially, the average American has far more than the average citizen of Europe or India or any other nation but he is unhappy and feels insecurity.  Your soul is ever secure in a divine superabundance.

Luke 12:22—31

Jesus said: Do not bother about eating and sleeping only. Life is more than that. It is meant for getting God contact. Look at the ravens i.e., crows. They do not sow nor reap. They do not have storehouses. In fact crow is associated with bad omen and loss. Its symbolism is complex.   As a talking bird, the  raven also represents prophecy and insight. Ravens in stories often act as psychopomps, connecting the material world with the world of spirits. Look at the lilies how they grow even thou they are not toiled. They symbolize humility and devotion.   As the flowers most often associated with funerals. Lilies symbolize that the soul of the departed has received restored innocence after death.
Solomon was not arrayed in ceremonial attire and paraphernalia. Sometimes people uses in combination; "clothed and in his/her right hand"- Bible; "proud of his/her well-clothed family";
The best recipe for individual, national and international well being is ‘God First.’
God hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on an all the face of the earth;;;That they should seek the Lord., if  happly they might feel after Him, and find Him, though He be not far from every one of us: For in Him we, and move, and have our being…For we are also His offspring.”                        Acts 17:26—28
Jesus said: Share your possessions with needy. After all it is not your wealth, everything is of God. Calamities and chaos can be averted by practicing the heavenly ideals of brotherhood. Nations should not be selfish. They should not think only of food, industry, raiment, and personal comforts. You must encourage spiritual education in educational institutions.  Otherwise the wars, etc will be the result due to your ignorance.

                                                                      Luke 12:32—34
Jesus said: Realize God in your consciousness. Do not be afraid. Through your justified devotion, God gives you the kingdom of Omnipresence. You are not a beggar. After you are his child. Meditate and demand your birth right of justified demands.

Luke 12:35—48

Parallel reference:
“But know this, that if the godman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.  Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.  Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, that he shall make him ruler over all his goods. But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, ‘My lord delayeth his coming’; and shall begin to smite his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; the lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, and shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall he weeping and gnashing of teeth.”                                Matthew 24:43—51

“Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.  For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.  Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house commeth, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.  And what I say unto you I say unto all, watch.”    Mark 13:33—37

Jesus said:  “When the Cosmic Consciousness comes and knocks at the gates of the devotee’s intuition, you must be ready to grasp it. A good man of the house watches and guard his house from the thieves. Verily, I declare the truth that when God comes to faithful devotees, He will serve them with intuitional wisdom and divine communion. You are a worthy servant when you keep your body and mind well guarded to receive Him.
The true devotee is always patient, persevering, and devotionally well prepared for the Divine Visitation.  The careless and whimsical devotee does not meditate dutifully everyday.
The devotee should not allow his consciousness to lower. Do not give importance to body. Concentrate on Chakras/plexus, in the spine, and brain. He reveal Himself as light and Cosmic Consciousness to the true devotee “when He will return from the wedding” of Spirit and Nature.
When God comes you, devotee, must be ready to receive Him considering the other duties are trivial, lest He will go away. “That servant, which knew lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.”
Following spiritual rules mechanically God may not appear.  He appears for a trice in meditation. “he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes.”
The devotee must be watchful in watching the bodily house to prevent the entry of the thief of delusion.
The devotee can retain a watchful awareness of the inner presence of God by keeping the consciousness always centered on the spiritual eye. Your mind should not be restless. Each night the devotee must pray in meditation.

                                                                                     Luke 12:49—57
Jesus said: I am come on earth to spread the fire of wisdom. It will burn the ignorance. I feel satisfied until the flame of wisdom conflagrates all illusory ignorant darkness.
“Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.  For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother , and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.”     Matthew 10:34—36
“He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: whose fan is in his hand, , and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into the garner (collector; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”   Matthew 3:11—12

Wisdom, the fiery vibration of manifested Truth, gives peace and emancipation to those who are in tune with it, but burns those who behave contrarily.  Jeremiah 23—29

                                                                                    Luke 12:58—59
Jesus admonishes: You cannot escape the tribunal of cosmic law of cause and effect.  This karmic law governs all human actions.  You have to pay retribution to your evil karma through suffering, reformation, and prayer.
