sadhakas need not wear any Rudraksha.
Rudraksha is a fruit consisting of pulp covered
with a thin outer cover. This is mainly available in Himalayan regions
of India, Nepal, Indonesia, Java & Jakarta.
Jabalopanishad, Padma purana, Siva purana &
Devi purana etc mentioned about the usefulness of Rudraksha.
The Rudraksha fruit consists of seeds ranging from
one to twenty one faces or mukhas. It is green in colour but after
drying up it turns to black. Each and every face or mukha Rudraksha
has its own tree. The cost of Rudraksha is directly proportional to
its quality. The more the superior more the cost.
White, red, yellow and black Rudrakshas are
mentioned in the Sastras. After drying up all most all types of Rudrakshas
change their colours to light brown or the colour of dust.
Rudraksha is said to be having magnetic and
electric power. Shape & size are not important. The
number of faces or Mukhas are important. Rudrakshas are by nature hot. Those
who are allergic to wear are advised to keep it in altar and do pooja daily.
Ladies can wear Rudrakshas except during
menstruation period. Anybody irrespective of caste, creed & religion can
wear. The Rudrakshas can be passed on from one generation to another
generation.
Rudraksha is of Elaeocarpaceae
family. It has many medicinal properties and is used in preparation
of Ayurvedic medicines. Dip two to five mukha Rudrakshas in water tumbler
except copper and keep it whole night. Take that water early morning with empty
stomach. It controls blood pressure. Whenever one feels
nervousness suddenly due to shock and if body becomes numb and cold and start
losing consciousness, press tightly five numbers of five mukha
Rudrakshas immediately with your right hand. If one is unable to do it himself,
then let somebody help him to do the pressing. The body
becomes warm and regain consciousness.
Normally one mukha rudraksha should not be used by
children below 12 years. Wearing Rudrakshas one should not go to cremation
ground.
Testing Rudraksha:
1) Water test:
Put the Rudraksha in water. If it floats reject it. If it drowns
accept it.
2) Copper coins test:
sandwich the Rudraksha in between two copper coins. If it rotates to
the right accept it as the genuine one. If it is steady or turn to the left
reject it as a bad one.
3) Milk test: Put
Rudraksha in a milk tumbler. For next 48 hours observe the milk. The
milk should remain unchanged. The Rudraksha is expected to stand on its base.
Then accept that one as a genuine one.
The effects of Rudraksha:
1. One mukha: mantra for
this: Om hreem namaha
One mukha represents Pure consciousness. The wearer
will have both material and spiritual gains like Raja Janaka. In spite
of enjoying the material comforts he remains unattached. Wearing can
make the practicing Doctors to make the correct diagnosis.
2. two mukha: om namaha
This is the representation of Artha nareeswara.
Husband – wife, Guru – sishya, parents – children, and seperated friends will
be united or maintain oneness by wearing this Rudraksha.
3. three mukha: om kleem namaha
Rrepresents Fire God. Just like fire
burns fire wood, the wearer gets freed from sins or wrong doings and returns to
purity and blessed. Removes inferiority, subjective fear, guilty consciousness,
and depression.
4. four mukha: om hreem namaha
Represents Brahma, the Creator. Students,
scientists, research people, artists, writers, journalists, and philosophers
get creativity by wearing this Rudraksha.
5. five mukha: om hreem namaha
Represents Lord Siva, the symbol of auspiciousness.
Health, peace, blood pressure, cardiac ailments will be ameliorated by wearing
this Rudraksha. For Japa also this mala is used.
6. six mukha: om hreem hoom namaha
Represents kartikeya, wearer will get
wisdom, intelligence, steady mind. Very good for businessmen,
executives, Journalists, editors, management people etc. This is
good for semen production i.e., for the veerya vriddhi of genital organs.
7. seven mukhi: Om hoom namaha.
This Rudraksha represents Goddess Mahalakshmi.
Brings plenty of money. Don’t wear it, keep it in Cash box.
8. Astha mukhi: om hoom namaha.
This Rudraksha represents God Vinayaka.
All obstacles will be eradicated, and brings good
luck. It will bring Vruddhi or progress and
siddhi or achievement.
9. Nine mukha: om hreem hoom namaha.
This Rudraksha represents Shakti. Wearer will get
energy and power.
10. ten mukha: om hreem namaha.
This Rudraksha represents God Vishnu or
Srimannarayan. The wearer and his future generations shall get food and livelihood.
11. eleven mukha: Om hreem hoom
namaha
This Rudraksha represents Anjaneya. Wearer will get
wisdom, right judgement, powerful vocabulary, fearlessness, successfulness, and
adventurous life. Good for meditating people.
12. twelve mukha: om krom kshom rom namaha.
This Rudraksha represents God Sun. Good
for Ministers, politicians, administrators, businessmen, and executives.
13. thirteen mukha: om hreem namaha.
This Rudraksha represents God Indra. Wearer will
get all comforts of life desired by him.
14. fourteen mukha: Om namaha.
This Rudraksha is divine one. The third
eye of meditating person will be opened for the wearer. Wearer will get
clairvoyance.
15. fifteen to twenty one
mukha. No mantra.
Keep it in the Puja Altar. Rudra will
bless and bestows the wearer with prosperity.
16. Gauri
Shankar: Om Gauri Shankaraaya namaha.
Sanyasis or renunciants wear this Rudraksha. Will
be blessed by Purusha and prakriti.
Certain conditions to wear Rudraksha:
1) smokers, drunkards,
non-vegetarians, sex lust people should not wear Rudrakshas. But if any one wanted
to give up seriously these bad habits can wear Rudrakshas. But they must
maintain purity with will power while wearing.
2) Mala
that is used for Japa should not be worn around the neck. That means Japa mala
and mala worn around neck should be separate. Use 54 or 108 beads
for Japa mala.
3) Do
not wear the mala or Rosaline while sleeping.
4) Every
week cleanse the beads with soap water.
5) On
auspicious days like Maha Shivaratri, Monday, and Tuesday take the Rudraksha to
temple and start wearing it after Rudra abhishekam.
6) Gold,
silver, copper, red or black threads are desired to be woven.
7) Some
Astrologers suggest mukhas of Rudraksha as per the lagna rasi and nakshatra.
