Healing the sick

And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.  And all the city was gathered together at the door.  And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.

And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and deported into a solitary place, and there prayed.  And Simon and they that were with him followed after him.  And when they had found him, they said unto him, :All men seek for thee.”

And he said unto them, “Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.

And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.                                                            –Mark 1:32--39

Now when the sun was setting, all that they had any with sick divers diseases  brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of the, and healed them.  And devils came out of many, crying out, and saying, “Thou art Christ the Son of God.”  And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.                                    (Luke 4:40—41)

Man is subjected to three types of afflictions, and they are related to body, mind, and soul. 

Body ailments are caused by injury, bacteria, viruses, toxins, and wounds etc.   They require physical healing.

Fear, worries, melancholia, psychological nervousness, greed, anger, insatiable sensual pleasures, selfishness, and jealousy etc are caused mental weaknesses.  They require metal healing.

Ignoring God due to Maya is caused by causal or ideational  disturbances. Physical problems do not bother if you are mentally strong. Normally in most cases physical problem is not associated with mental problems.

Mental problem is associated with physical problem also. Here self confidence cedes then body and mind both suffers. The disease of ignorance causes the body and mind to suffer.

The self realization leads to eradicate ideational ills. The self-realized man realizes this body as a dream of God.  This self-realization comes due to systematic, regular, and finally incessant kriya yoga meditation. Kriya yoga meditation, reading, practicing, and developing intuition.

Meditation will interiorize the mind by withdrawing life force with will power from muscles and nerves. The person will concentrate in the brain cells. The brain recorded evil tendencies and mental habits are burnt.

Physical ailments can be cured by medical procedures, herbs, and fasting etc.

Yoga asanas, mudras, bandhams, and pranayama are useful in curing all sort of ills, physical, astral, and causal. These will help in rising the power of mind to develop curative life energy.

A Master transmits the unlimited power of God because of the faith of his disciples or followers. Jesus could command his will to be transmitted through his hands. “He laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them. “  

The meditating Yogi can send his energy from Sahasrara chakra on top of his skull in the brain through the six other chakras or plexus viz., Agna, Visuddha, Anahata, Manipura, Swadhistana, and mooladhara chakra and can send that energy through the nerves to all the vital and sensory and motor parts of the body. The right side positive Pingala pole is stronger than left side negative Ida pole in the merudanda or spinal cord. This spinal cord or Meru danda is called by several names. Ex: Vajrayudha equivalent to a weapon made of strong diamond (s),  Parijaata vruksha or wishing tree which can fulfill your justified desires. The nerve current radiating from the eyes, hands, and feet is stronger than from other parts.

Jesus used several methods to transmit the cosmic energy like hands, healing through spoken word through mouth, transmitting energy by will through the ether, and powerful thought (s) or samkalpam. This was what verses and other accounts say about Jesus.   Life force is the individual expression of cosmic energy.  It has power to kill physical as well as mental bacteria.

Jesus and others with Christ consciousness healed the people in spite of their bad karma. All physical, mental, and spiritual ailments can be cured by Cosmic energy.  Thought and energy transmitted through the ether is practiced through prayers.  The divine way of healing was used by Jesus Christ to heal possessed, lame, and blind souls.  Jesus healed the possessed person by making his consciousness in tune with Christ Intelligence in all creation, and by using his will power tosend the cosmic energy into the brain.  This way Jesus used to destroy the obsessions caused by the unclean spirit.

Jesus exorcised the devils from many, and many devils came out crying. “ ‘Thou art Christ, the Son of God.’  And he rebuking them suffered the not to speak.”  Positive-minded confidence in the effectiveness  remedy stimulates the healing the force. Mental and physical healings should be given according to mental inclinations and mental habits. Jesus said, “Render unto Caesar the things which are the Caesar’s.”---that is,  people should adapt the method according to their respective choice.  They may go to homeopath. Allopath, ayurveda Vaidya, o r naturopath as per their choice.

Ordinary medical Doctor cannot take the responsibility curing the illness. It is the God ultimately heals. Any illness. That is why Vedic scriptures say:  “Vihnoh prathamo bhishak” meaning God is the first Doctor.

One must do Pranayama meditation regularly so that he will be contact with God.   One must understand scriptures properly. Scripture is called “Sastram” in Sanskrit.      Swasa + astram = swastram. It has gradually became ‘sastram’.  That means to utilize swasa (Breath) or life force as an astram (Weapon) is known as swaastram or pranayama . Breath means life force. This pranayama controls the breath. That means controlling of life force is called pranayama. Through this Pranayama or controlling of life force only, one can know God. The person who is aware of using swasa (Breath) as an astram is known as swaasri or saastri.

These life Pranayama or force controlling techniques can kill the ego. ‘I’ or Ego consciousness means identification of soul with the body.  Jesus said, “I say unto you, arise”.  Here Jesus did not identify himself with the physical body. He identified himself with universal God-consciousness.   

Even sincere self-realized devotee who was healing someone may have a trace of ego.  “I healed her”, or “God is working through me”, or “Be healed by God’s power.’-- should be strictly avoided and not to be declared with egotism, and self-laudation, both in speech and mind.  When Jesus says to the sick, “I say unto thee, arise and be healed.  Here “I” means “God alone”.

In the words of Isaiah’s prophesy about Jesus,” Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.”  Jesus could wipe out the evil karma in accordance to the cause and effect theory. If somebody gets stomachache due to over eating or wrong eating he can utilize a counter medicine like fasting etc.  Jesus could wipe out adverse effects of wrong doings of a person (s) with his powerful consciousness. But nobody could break the law of cause and effect created by God.  Certain wrong doings or bad karma can be removed partially or fully removed by the God-realized master and also by the afflicted person with the help of prayers, intensive love for God, faith, scientific methods of yoga meditation, directing will power consciously and continuously.  Jesus could take the bad karma of his faithful disciples upon himself and burn it with his will power. He had the power to save himself by prayer to god.  He took upon himself the sins of his disciples. And many other souls, and let his body be crucified.

“….and he shall presently give me more than tweive legions of angels . But how then shall be scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be.” (Mathews 26:53—54)

By taking his disciple’ karma, they were highly spiritualized to be able to receive Holy Ghost. Karmic law operates as a guiding force. It has no power in the kingdom of God-consciousness. It dissolves in wisdom. That is why Jesus said” “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, then everything will be added unto you.”

Even Great masters or yogis require solitude. They will pray and one with Spirit.  Several people were seeking his blessings. An electric power  machine shows fatigue because of continuous working, even though the dynamo power is not lessened.  Jesus became one with multitudes in their pains and sorrows. To renew God consciousness one has to withdraw oneself and be away from the madding crowd and merge with God consciousness.

Jesus sought out solitary place for prayers before the morning brought upon him the sense of responsibilities. Paramahansa yogananda used to say, “As soon as get time, I will meditate.”   The spiritual people require solitary places for divine communion. Man’s mind is filled with sensations of sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste. Sound is most disturbing sensation. Hence one needs solitary place. By closing the eyes one get rid of sight sensation.

The following timings are beneficial for meditation.  They are:

0500 IST to 0800 IST,   1000 IST to 1300 IST,   1700 IST to 2000 IST,  and 2200 IST to 2500 IST.   The masters or yogis of Bharat or India said:  Transitional timings of dawn, noon, sunset, and midnight are conducive to meditation. They improve spiritual development.  The magnetic cosmic laws of attraction and repulsion affect the body. They are more harmoniously equilibrated during these periods.  The devotee seeker should enjoy time with God during these times. One must take a refreshing walk to a quite lonely place to meditate and be one with God.  Jesus lived in temperate climate, conducive to his out door solitude in nature during the early morning hours. 

People saw him in his solitude, they said: “All men seek for thee.”

And he said unto them, “Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.

And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.                                                            –Mark 1:38--39

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching thegospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of  disease among the people.

And his fame went out throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy;  and he healed them.

And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judea, and from beyond Jordan.                                                        Mathew 4:23—25

Jesus went from one place to another place in Israel as directed by God.  It is the birth centre of special dispensation.  He could not allot his time for the superficial appearing before masses. His message was universal. His spiritual teachings were spread at  length and breadth to the spiritually thirsty people irrespective of caste, creed  or race.  He came from the Spirit.  He came to spread his message of love to all children of the Spirit. That is what he meant by: “Therefore came I forth.”
