పతంజలి అష్టాంగయోగము: 1) యమ: అహింస, సత్యం, ఆస్తేయం (దొంగతనముచేయకుండుట), బ్రహ్మచర్యం, అపరిగ్రహం(ఇతరులనుండి ఏమీ ఆశించకుండుట).   2) నియమ: సౌచం(శరీర, మనస్సుల శుభ్రత), సంతోషం(తృప్తి), స్వాధ్యాయము(శాస్త్రపఠనం), ఈశ్వరప్రణిధానము(పరమాత్మకు అంకితమగుట).   3) ఆసన: స్థిరత్వము 4) ప్రాణాయామ: శ్వాస నియంత్రణ 5) ప్రత్యాహార: ఇంద్రియవిషయములను ఉపసంహరించుకొనుట.      6) ధారణ: వస్తు ఏకాగ్రత. 7) ధ్యాన: కేవలము పరమాత్మపై ఏకాగ్రత. 8) సమాధి: సమ అధి అనగా పరమాత్మతో ఐక్యమగుట. ధారణ, ధ్యాన మరియు సమాధి, మూడింటినీ కలిపి సమ్యక్ సమాధి అంటారు.  ధ్యానము బీజముతో మొదలయ్యి నిర్బీజం అవ్వాలి.    

మానవుడు భుజించు అన్నపానములు జఠరాగ్నిచే మూడువిధము లైన మార్పుచెందును.  1)  స్థూలభాగము మలమూత్రములుగాను,   2) మధ్యభాగము రసమై రక్తమై మాంసాద ి   సప్తదాతువులుగాను,  3)  కనిష్ఠభాగము మనస్సుగాను మారును. కనుక ఆహారాన్నిబట్టి మనస్సు ఉండును.  పంచీకరణరీతిగ ా   చూసినా ఆహారములోగల   ఆకాశసూక్ష్మంశము అంతః కరణగాను, వాయుర్వాంశము మనస్సుగాను, అగ్నాంశము బుద్ధి గాను, జలాంశము చిత్తముగాను, పృథ్వంశము అహంకారముగాను మారును.  1) శుక్ల శో ణి ితములు, రక్తముగల పశుపక్ష్యాదులను, వాటి బిడ్డలను, గ్రుడ్లను వధించు హింసను ఆమోదించువాడు,  2) మాంసభక్షణము ఉత్తమమని బోధించువాడు,  3)  వధించు వాడు,   4) అమ్మువాడు,  5) కొనువాడు,  6) వండువాడు,  7) తెచ్చువాడు,   8) తినువాడు అయిన ఈ ఎనిమిదిమంది ఘాతుకులే. ...

ONAM Sri Mahavishnu comes in the guise of a dwarf, Vamana Avatar, and requests Emperor of Demons, Bali, to donate three feet/steps of land.  In spite of denial by Shukracharya, the Guru preceptor  of Rakshasas, the Demons, Bali donates three feet of land as promised. The Vamana, Shree Mahavishnu, magically grows his foot /step infinitely. He keeps first foot/step of infinite measurement covering the whole earth, second foot/step covering the whole Space. HE asks Bali as to where to keep His third foot /step. As desired by Bali Shree Mahavishnu keeps His third foot /step on MahaBali, the Great emperor, and pushes him to Patala, the abiss. Omkaar: When a product comes out a sound is generated.  Likewise, when cosmic generator is on a sound is generated.  So when creator started creation a cosmic sound came out.  This sound came out of first vibratory element ether.  The sound so generated is OHM.  If we follow the sound and walk in that direction of sound the source will be revealed to us.  Similarly, if we follow that and merge into OHM sound we will know the source “God”.
